I have a poetry presentation for English class and I would like to put music to it and sing it in a theatrical way. My teacher gave us no restrictions so i can pretty much present the poem any way i want. The poem is “Hymn To God The Father” by John Donne. I was also thinking of wearing a black cape or sheet covering my head to represent sin. What do you think? Any other ideas would be helpful, I really would like a good grade on this and I am nervous performing in front of the class. Thanks!

So for my poetry project, I have to write a poem about a theme like America, Freedom, Dreams, or any other theme that has to do with the Harlem Renaissance. I’ve written my poem about the theme of “America”. The problem is that I don’t know how to present it in a creative way. The teacher gave an example of writing each stanza of a poem on a piece of paper shaped like a state. Does anyone have any ideas?
