emg_91 asked:
Does anyone know where I can find any poetry about teen issues like those in the Chicken Soup for the Teenager’s Soul books? I need a long poem about 8 minutes that I can use for speech and drama.
Last year i used the poem “The Bully” that I found in CSFTS IV. Something similar would be great!

Fran H asked: I’m having trouble finding any information about this. I need to come up with some points on how the Elizabethans changed language, specifically with poetry. It shouldn’t be on structure and form, just language.
Does anyone have any points, even just a little tidbit of a point I can expand on? I can’t think of anything or find anything online!

I’m doing an investigation for uni and want to know why the majority of people can relate to free verse poetry? What makes it more accessible? Is it the way that it replicates speech, or the normal, everyday language that it uses?

arabesque [crazed girl] asked: Do you just open the book at random and read whatever’s on the page? Or do you go through the table of contents and choose by poet or title? Do you read it straight through, from cover to cover? Or do you do something else?
I’m a little confused at the moment. I have an anthology of poetry with me (yes, from the library) that I want to read from, but I don’t exactly know where to start. It’s pretty big . . .

This reputable poetry contest has an award which includes publication. Should I copyright my works before I send them my works?

I love to write and I’ve been told I’m really good, and I think I am. Is there any way to publish poetry as a teenager? I’m a 14 year old girl and I live in Illinois if that helps. Please let me know! Thanks!

airhead asked:
I was just thinking after reading countless poems here on Yahoo that those that write modern Poetry have an advantage over those who write the traditional Prose. It’s like they can use a metal bat compared to a wood bat but in this case it’s in Poetry. What do you think?

AJ says… Trolls are Imaginary asked:
What is a good 8-10 minute piece that is funny and great for a forensics competition. It can be an assortment of poems that are related in theme as well, just as long as they amount to 8-10 minutes. Thanks. PLEASE DON’T SUGGEST SILVERSTEIN. Judges are so bored with that since its too popular.
